Faster, Better-
Looking Results

The very first project to use Precasteel’s StayPanel™ forms was none other than the massive $8 billion Central Terminal Replacement Project at New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA).

As one of the country’s busiest airports, serving an estimated 15 million passengers a year, LaGuardia had its choice of formwork and construction methods to build two structures connecting terminals, Frontage Road being one of the two and the show piece of the terminal.

It opted for Precasteel’s revolutionary StayPanel™ forms—and the decision paid off.

Much to LaGuardia’s benefit, the StayPanel™ design increased installation speed to just one linear foot per minute on average, significantly expediting construction. The design allowed for a ¼-inch gap between panels that facilitated construction and added to the bridges’ aesthetic appeal.

The result? A pair of far better-looking and more efficiently built bridges than could have been achieved with conventional bridge brackets.

In fact, Delta Airlines was so impressed with the bridges’ ease of construction and visual appeal that it incorporated StayPanel™ forms into the design of its neighboring terminal.

In addition to providing an aesthetically pleasing barrier at the main terminal building, the Precasteel panel design was able to be tailored to project specific design requirements
